Stuart Manley wins South

European Tour professional, Stuart Manley (Horizon Sports / Mountain Ash), shot a second successive 65 to win the South East Wales Open at St Mary’s Hotel, Golf & Country Club on Tuesday (29th July 2008)
Fresh from finishing tied 54th in the Russian Open in Moscow two days before, Manley won by two strokes from playing partner Cennydd Mills ( www.vale-hotel.com ), who shot a second successive round of 66. Mills wins £400 and 90 Order of Merit points.
Also playing in the final group was current Order of Merit leader, Adam Constable (Cardiff), who drifted to a second round 73 after his opening 66 in round one, to finish in fifth place. His 60 Order of Merit points keep him at the head of the field, after six events.
In 3rd place after registering two solid level par rounds of 68, was Southerndown’s Llewellyn Matthews, who collected £200 and 80 Order of Merit points.
Scotland’s Paul Doherty ( www.vale-hotel.com ), collected £150 for his fourth place finish on +2, after rounds of 68 and 70.
Manley wins £1,100, the South East Wales Open title and 100 Order of Merit points
